Purim 5768

With the approach of the joyous holiday of Purim, the Jacksonville Jewish community is in for a treat once again. Chabad is gearing up for another production of its Annual Purim Gala to take place on Sat. Night, March 22, 9:00 pm at Chabad Mandarin’s location, 10129 Haley Road.

The event, now in its 16th year, has become a hallmark of Jewish joy and solidarity. "This event brings Jews of all ages and backgrounds together with the single purpose of sharing the joy and warmth of our common Jewish heritage," says Rabbi Mendy Browd, of Chabad of Mandarin, one of the event's sponsors.

This year the Annual Purim Celebration will take on a unique twist – Purim, Hawaiian Style. The Hawaiian-inspired menu and lively island motif will have participants feel as if they’ve actually washed ashore the exotic tropical Islands.

The lively music, exquisite cuisine, tropical ambiance, and joyous Purim spirit, is to be rivaled only by the featured entertainment – renowned comedian, Avi Liberman.
