PURIM HAPPENINGS

17th ANNUAL PURIM CELEBRATION
Celebrating the Land of Israel
Tuesday, March 10, 5:30 pm
Chabad Center-Mandarin
Join us we celebrate the Land of Israel-her melodies, her comedy and of course her
delicacies. Over the years this annual event has become a hallmark of Jewish pride in
the Jacksonville Community- be a part of it!
Musical performace by the Phillip Lipton Ensemble, and the hilarity of stand-up comic
Ben Wallis.
Full Course Purim Feast highlighting delicious Israeli cuisine and fine Israeli wines
Tickets are available at your local Chabad Center. For more information, and to

PURIMANIA
Monday, March 9, 6:45 PM
Men women and children will gather together at the Chabad Center to listen to the
Megillah and say Boo to Haman.
Everyone, young and old, are encouraged to come in Purim costumes. Special prizes
for all children dressed up.
The program will begin at 6:45 pm with the Special Minchah Services for the Fast of
Esther, and the traditional giving of the ½ Shekel. Maariv & Megillah reading will start at
7:45 p.m. followed by a light break-fast.

Special "Family" Megillah Readings
Tuesday, March 10, 11:00 am & 4:30 pm
It is a mitzvah for all Jewish people, male and female alike to hear the Megilla twice,
during the 24 hours of Purim, once on Purim Eve and once on Purim Day.
In addition to the Megillah Reading during the Shacharit services which begins at 7:00
am, there will be 2 additional readings of the Megillah to accommodate the various
schedules and needs of all members of the community.
The added Megillah Reading, which are free and open to the public, will take place,
11:00 am as well as 4:30 pm, at Chabad of Mandarin 10129 Haley Road.
